The Bullring is Birmingham’s city centre shopper’s Mecca, starting as a shopping haven in the 18th century. Here you can come and visit one of the UK’s four Selfridges stores and bask in the retail glory of Debenhams, Cult Clothing, The Entertainer toy shop, the Apple Store, and dozens of other outlets.
More importantly (for me at least) there are hidden eateries. Step outside of the Bullring and you’ll find “Spiceal Street”, a row of modern restaurants with an eye on the worn out shopper. They include:
- Browns Bar & Brasserie
- Hand Made Burger Company
- Nandos
- Jamie’s Italian (as in, the fat tongued mockney)
- Chaopraya Thai Restaurant
Not to mention those places located in the Bullring:
- The Balcany bar and restaurant at Selfridges
- Yo! Sushi at Selfridges
- The Cafe at Debenhams
- Eat
- Cafe Rouge
- Del Villagio
- Wagamama
- Mount Fuji (Japanese)
- Pizza Express
- Baguette du Monde
